OUR STORY

Welcome to the Nebraska Beekeepers Association. We are a nonprofit 501(c)3 educational organization formed to increase the harmony and cooperation among beekeepers of Nebraska and the Great Plains.

The organization runs a successful booth at the Nebraska State Fair. By selling honey, wax products and honey ice cream, funds are raised to support a Youth Scholarship program.

Our scholarship program introduces young beekeepers to the exciting world of beekeeping! Membership dues help to purchase the supplies needed to start a new hive. Each recipient is paired with an experienced beekeeper for a year.

Our programs are informative and provide members with valuable information on how to maintain their bees in addition to other apiculture topics. Our meetings are open to anyone who is interested in beekeeping and traditionally meet quarterly throughout the year. Our members assist with hands-on beginning beekeeping workshops and Bee Fun Days. These information packed days are offered throughout the state to hundreds of new beekeepers!
